Greater DC Cohort
Marci recently completed a 17 year tenure at the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington, where she served as the Managing Director of Strategic Planning & Allocations. Marci’s responsibilities included overseeing the relationships between the Federation and over 40 local, national and global agencies, convening organizations to identify emerging communal needs and priorities, managing the Federation's annual grant-making process, and overseeing the Jewish Life & Learning department. One of the most meaningful projects she led at the Federation was the development of Imagine Israel – Connecting with Israel Through Social Change, including programs in areas such as shared society, religious pluralism, LGBTQ, food insecurity, and disability inclusion in Israel. Marci met her husband, Rabbi Jacob Blumenthal, when they were both USY Regional Youth Directors. They have two great kids – Jory, a junior at University of Maryland, and Renana, who is in her first year at Binghamton University - and are learning how to be empty nesters.
