Rachel Lewin

Greater LA Cohort

Rachel is an experienced head of school, mindfulness educator and consultant. Rachel holds certificates in mindfulness facilitation from UCLA's Mindful Awareness Research Center and Mindful Schools yearlong program and was a Day School Leadership Training Institute fellow. Attuned to organizational cultures and dynamics of change, Rachel work to foster ease, joy, and wonder for each individual and group in the design of learning environments and creation of mindful lives. In Northern California, she was part of a movement to revision Israel education with and for day school community middle schools. A graduate of Mills College, Rachel currently serves as the Head of School for Temple Israel of Hollywood day school and has been a founding trustee for schools and a trustee of the Silver Lake JCC . Rachel lived in Israel for many years and studied at Hebrew University.
